Personal data

Your privacy is very important to us. We do our utmost to protect your data. In order to provide services to you and guarantee our services to you, we do need some personal data from you. Davigon processes these personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself. We use this data for the following purposes:

  • Providing and invoicing our services;
  • Sending our newsletters;
  • Processing your order and informing you about its progress;
  • Storage of customer data in our database, in order to execute the agreement between you and Davigon;
  • Storage of customer data in our database for publication in the WHOIS database;
  • Taking measures to improve services;
  • Providing information or offers.
Disclosure to third parties

Davigon only provides your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation. Providing data to third parties depends on the products you purchase from us. These third parties fall into the following categories:

  • Domain registrar
  • Marketing platforms
  • Cloud service providers
  • data centers

Depending on the service you purchase, some data held by these third parties will be stored outside the EEC (European Economic Community). This concerns servers in the United States, which fall under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield.

When transferring data, we use the so-called SSL security system (Secure Socket Layer) in connection with 128/256-bit encryption. This technology offers the highest security and is therefore also used by banks, for example, for data security during online banking. All payment methods offered by us are extensively secured by the above standard. You can see that your data is sent encrypted by the symbol of a key or closed lock in the status bar of your browser.

Data retention period

When you terminate your services with us, we store some data based on the legal retention period of 10 years. We delete data that is no longer necessary. We destroy all data after the statutory retention period. You have the right to inspect the data we have about you after you have terminated the services with us. You can submit a request for access, correction or deletion to support. Davigon will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but at least within four weeks.
